Last Week in Children’s Sunday School
We started learning to use hand bells and played the song, “The Wise Man Built His House Upon A Rock.” We then went and saw the “big bells”, and Ms. Suzanne taught us that we could touch the handle but not the bell part. Because we didn’t have white gloves on, the oil from our fingers would ruin the big bells.
Our lesson was from Matthew 7:24-27……
Ms. Suzanne taught the parable about building your house on the rock and not on sand. When water was poured on the house on the rock, the house just stood there. When water was poured on the house on the sand, the house fell and the sand made a mess. It was good we were outside for this lesson.

On behalf of the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPR), all are invited to a church cookout on Sunday, July 15, directly following the service. SPR will provide burgers and hot dogs with the fixings, as well as drinks. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. Due to the church picnic, there will be one combined service at 11 am on July 15. We hope to see everyone there!
