FUMC Bristol Newsletter Feb 9th-15th, 2017

photography by Gina Carnahan

In Matthew’s Gospel, Jesus instructs the crowd from
a Galilean hillside
for some 3 chapters.

This week, the Teacher reminds us what was said of old,
compared to his new way of seeing and being in the world.
So…is the law now defunct?
“You have heard it said, but I say to you…”

  ~Matthew 5: 21-37

The Story continues.  Where do you see yourself in it?

At this juncture, we are exploring other options for handling the Financial portion of Carol’s position.
Currently in the office all day Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday mornings,  how about stopping by to show Carol your appreciation for 32 years of outstanding service and dedication to our congregation and community?!
Take her out to lunch or for a cup of coffee!
