Weekly Christian Education Abounds!
While our discussions about the best way forward for Worship are underway, Sunday School for all ages resumed at 9:30a.m., Sunday, July 10.  Our numbers and smiling faces in adult classrooms reflected happy Sunday School participants!    We have 4 adult Sunday School classes for you to choose from including our “Old Kids” who meet on designated Sunday afternoons.
 Children’s Sunday School Update:
This was week three of the
Gifts of the Spirit Series

Suzanne Goyette writes:
“We had such an exciting day! The fruit of the spirit was Gentleness.
We made a peach from fuzzy fabric, and we talked about how, even though fruit may be bruised if it hasn’t been handled gently, it still has wonderful sweet fruit. Our Lord is a gentle and good shepherd, caring for us in gentle ways.”
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
                                                        -from Psalm 23

We love having volunteers to share in the weekly Christian Education of our children!  Remember the congregational vow we take at each child’s baptism?
Along with their parents, we pledge to do our part to nurture the children in the Christian faith!
What a blessed opportunity!

Pot Luck Picnic and Worship Conversation

Date:  Sunday, August 7

Time: 4:30 p.m-7:00ish p.m.
Location:  Strader Farm
Address: 338 Brookwood Drive
               Bristol, TN  37620
As our three-month worship trial is nearly over, some have asked to gather for a time of conversation to offer feedback. The Worship Team will be present as the entire church is invited to share thoughts on our Joint Worship experiment.
Help us discern best way forward!

Anytime Methodists gather, FOOD assures good conversation and happy guests!  So bring your favorite picnic foods
and potluck dishes and enough to share; we’ll provide the paper products and drinks.
Dow and Johnnie Strader have graciously offered their farm as a place for our gathering. To make their task easier, we are looking for volunteers to both set up and clean-up.
Call  Michelle at 423.430.2335 to volunteer or e-mail her at
Sanctuary Skylight Update!
Around $2500-$3,000 shy of our collection goal of  $11,000 for 2 new skylights (but due to an anticipated $2000 price hike within the month), the Trustees have now ordered two new 2 skylights for our church sanctuary!  They will arrive within 4-6 weeks with a 1-2 week installation process if all goes according to plans!   Bless you for your generous contributions!  As we rushed to beat the 10% price increase, we are still collecting money to equal the match from the Trustees funds.

We have chosen barrel vaulted skylights, double-paned and insulated as the best insurance against leakage. There is a 5-year warranty on the windows. PICTURED IS NOT OUR ACTUAL SKYLIGHT BUT MERELY AN EXAMPLE!

Thanks to Jim Riden for arranging the incredible deal through his roofing company, Summit BSR.
